Temperatures to hit 35°C in Azerbaijan on September 17

Temperatures across Azerbaijan are forecast to reach up to 35°C on September 17, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, variable cloudiness and mostly dry conditions will prevail, with a slight chance of brief, localized rain in suburban areas overnight. A moderate northwesterly wind will blow. Overnight temperatures will range from 19°C to 23°C, rising to 28–32°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will be 760 mm Hg, with relative humidity at 70–75% at night and 50–55% during the day.

The provinces will experience largely dry weather, though scattered brief showers and lightning may develop during the day. Fog is expected in mountainous zones overnight and in the early morning, accompanied by an easterly wind. Lowland areas will see overnight lows of 18–22°C and daytime highs of 30–35°C, while mountainous regions will register 8–13°C overnight and 20–25°C during daytime hours.
