Pashinyan says he is learning Russian
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he is currently studying Russian at the Academy of Public Administration.
He made the comment at a government meeting while discussing Labour and Social Affairs Minister Arsen Torosyan’s proposal to make English-language study compulsory for all public administration employees.
“Why only English? I, for example, am currently taking Russian classes at the Academy of Public Administration. Someone else may study Japanese, Spanish, Chinese or German,” Pashinyan said.
He said public administration employees should be able to study different foreign languages depending on their needs.
