Orlen to buy Azerbaijani oil amid Saudi supply disruptions
Poland’s Orlen will buy 16 additional crude oil cargoes for its refineries to cover disruptions to Saudi Arabian supplies through November, Reuters reported.
The company said it had secured supplies from Azerbaijan, Norway, Britain, Algeria, Kazakhstan and countries in North and South America.
Saudi Aramco has supplied around 40% of Orlen’s crude oil requirements since 2022.
Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline, which transports crude from the country’s eastern oilfields towards the Red Sea, was shut on September 10 following attacks by Iran-backed Houthis.
