Breathtaking pictures from Europe's most impressive mountain ranges - PHOTO

Captured from the summits of Mount Rocciamelone in Italy's Susa Valley, Mount Chaberton in Hautes-Alpes, France and Mount Lagazoui in Italy's Dolomites range, Roberto Bertero, 44, braved extreme temperatures of up to -30C to capture the mountains' spectacular beauty.The photographs are all taken from between 2,700 and 3,500 metres high and show blankets of cloud stretching for hundreds of miles in every direction.Bertero undertakes almost all of his missions alone, saying: 'A night spent in silence in the mountains at high altitudes, under an infinite starry sky, certainly makes us realize how marvellous it is to be part of something infinitely greater than ourselves.'Although his photographs are stunning, Bertero says he still feels unable to capture the true beauty of the environment as the 'magnificence of the clouds' and sheer scale of the mountain range is too hard to fit into a single still image.(dailymail.co.uk)ANN.Az
