Hungarian-Azeri economic committee to meet in January

A meeting of the Hungarian-Azeri Joint Economic Committee will take place in Azerbaijan on January 27-28, state secretary for foreign affairs and external economic relations Peter Szijjarto said on Wednesday.

Bilateral economic relations, education, tourism and visa issues will be on the agenda at the meeting, Mr Szijjarto said.

Bilateral trade between Hungary and Azerbaijan came to USD 54.2m in January-October of last year, up 26pc from the same period a year earlier. Trade consists almost entirely of Hungarian exports.
