The question of indexation of wages depends on the decision of the government. Of course, in the current situation of the fall of manat affects the prices. The government should take some measures to prevent it.

According to News.Az, the statement came from the expert-economist Oktay Hagverdiyev, answering the question "Can wages be subject to indexation in Azerbaijan?".

"In some way the indexation of wages financed from the budget can also be one of the measures," the expert economist said.

"With regard to projections, logically, the government should take such a step, but it's hard to say if it will happen or not,"  Oktay Hagverdiyev said.
