SOCAR says Absheron final investment decision coming soon

Azerbaijan’s state energy company SOCAR is working with France’s Total on the development of the Caspian natural gas field of Absheron, SOCAR President Rovnaq Abdullayev said.
A final investment decision on Absheron will be made soon, Abdullayev said.
The SOCAR president said Total, which leads the project with 40 percent, is drawing up a development project for Absheron, estimated to hold 400 bcm of natural gas.
Partners in the project also include SOCAR and Suez GDF.
