Vice speaker to act as head of Armenian Parliament

Vice Speaker Hakob Arshakyan will act as head of the Armenian Parliament, reported from Sputnik Armenia.

Until the election of a new president, the powers of the head of state are performed by the speaker of parliament.

Since President Armen Sarkissian didn’t withdraw his resignation, his term ended, his post was temporarily taken over by Speaker Alen Simonian.
