Forty-six percent of Britons aged 16 to 21 would rather live their youth without the internet, according to a survey cited by The Guardian.

The study found that nearly 70% of young people said they feel worse after spending time on social media. Half of respondents supported the idea of a "digital curfew" restricting access to certain apps and websites after 10 p.m.

One in four said they spend more than four hours a day on social platforms, and 42% admitted to lying to parents or guardians about their online activities. Additionally, 27% said they pretend to be someone else online, while 40% have anonymous accounts.

The survey comes amid UK government discussions about potentially restricting access to certain platforms during nighttime hours.
