Azerbaijan summons Dutch, Belgian ambassadors over parliamentary resolutions
Azerbaijan summoned the ambassadors of the Netherlands and Belgium to protest against parliamentary resolutions it said undermined its sovereignty and the peace process with Armenia, the Foreign Ministry said.
The ambassadors — Julien De Frepon and Marian De Jong — were called in separately, the ministry said.
Baku said the documents, adopted on April 16, contained “false and unfounded assessments” and reflected what it described as anti-Azerbaijani bias.
It also rejected allegations related to Armenia’s territorial integrity and the detention of ethnic Armenians.
The ministry urged Belgium and the Netherlands to take steps to prevent actions by groups in their parliaments that could harm bilateral ties.
