Putin says it is too early to discuss a sixth presidential term
Russian President Vladimir Putin said it was too early to discuss whether he would run in the 2030 presidential election, although the constitution allows him to seek another term.
“The constitution does allow me to run in 2030, but I think it is too early to talk about it, far too early,” Putin said during a meeting with the heads of international news agencies.
Putin said he was not thinking about future elections because Russia faces “many major, large-scale and pressing issues.”
“Only God knows whether we will have enough health to live until tomorrow or the day after, and to achieve the goals we have set,” he said.
