Armenian businessman Tsarukyan prevented from leaving country

Russian-linked Armenian businessman Gagik Tsarukyan was prevented from leaving Armenia through Zvartnots International Airport after the elections, Armenian media reported.

According to the reports, law enforcement authorities did not allow Tsarukyan to board a flight and leave the country. No official explanation has been provided.

Earlier, Armenia’s Central Election Commission announced that it would conduct a recount of votes at 86 polling stations across 20 electoral districts.
