Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan to sign joint defense agreement

According to Reuters on August 7, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan are set to sign a joint defense agreement amid growing security challenges and regional instability.

The document highlights a significant convergence among the three nations and a strategic alignment of their defense capabilities. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is traveling to Saudi Arabia to attend a trilateral summit with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Pakistani Prime Minister arrived in the kingdom on August 6 for a three-day official visit, accompanied by Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir.

During the talks, the leaders will address regional security issues, maritime threats, and joint strategies regarding the crisis in Iran.
