Terror attack plot targeting Medina holy site foiled
The Arab coalition supporting Yemen’s legitimate government announced that Saudi security services thwarted an attempted terrorist attack orchestrated by Houthi forces in the holy city of Medina.
Coalition spokesperson Colonel Turki al-Malki stated on X that security agencies neutralized the planned operation, with preliminary findings directly linking the Houthi movement to the planning and intended execution of the strike. Al-Malki emphasized that the attack specifically targeted a religious site in Medina, condemning the Houthis for attempting to strike sacred sanctuaries and civilian populations. Additional operational details and investigative findings are scheduled to be disclosed following formal proceedings.
