But the lodgings – once voted the best in the country – promise to be more Fawlty Towers than The Ritz as it will have to adhere to the terror network’s strict Sharia law.

That means no booze, dancing, music, smoking or gambling, and women must dress head-to-toe in black including gloves and never be seen unaccompanied in public areas.

It is likely to be patrolled by members of IS' notorious al-Khansaa brigade – its all-women police force which checks subjects are obeying the group’s rules.

Those who don’t risk being flogged, beheaded or crucified.

All 262 rooms at the Ninawa Hotel in Mosul will initially be reserved for visiting commanders.

But it will be open for weddings so jihadi brides can marry fighters.

IS had closed down all hotels in its captured regions of Syria and Iraq.

But they are reversing the move in a bid to prove to the world that they are running a civilised society.

IS chiefs released an arty picture of the concrete Ninawa taken at night.

Before the terror network seized Mosul internet travel site TripAdvisor described the hotel as the best in Iraq.

It boasted a swimming pool, tennis courts, opulent marble reception area, internal water features, palm-tree lined gardens and views over the Tigris River.

But women will be banned from swimming or playing tennis in public unless they keep every inch of flesh covered.

Rooms had thick carpet and were fitted out with gold-edged furniture. Tiled bathrooms come with giant whirlpool baths.

The hotel had two restaurants, bars, a gym and a ballroom.

The bars and ballroom are likely to remain shut.

Hotel bosses used to charge £65-a-night.

One reviewer from the United Arab Emirates staying in 2013 wrote on the online site: "Amazing five stars hotel with affordable room rate.

"Ninawa International Hotel is one of the best hotels in Iraq.

"You can enjoy the luxury life with very affordable room rate."

Another guest wrote: "This is the best hotel in Iraq it has a very large garden and a perfect restaurant and a very good staff and also not expensive and very suitable for a family meet and it had also very nice wedding room and a good conference room."

TripAdvisor now cautions would-be guests there are security concerns hanging over the hotel.

Its opening is part of a legitimacy drive by the terror regime.

Schools and universities have been reopened and the regime has begun producing ID cards and birth certificates for children born under the black flag.

They have also begun trying to tempt Westerners to travel to the Middle East to work in roles apart from fighting.

IS produced a list of 10 jobs that supporters can carry out – including working in hospitals, teaching, fitness roles and jobs in the media centre.
