422 citizens fell victim to mines after Patriotic War

 A total of 422 people have fallen victim to landmines in Azerbaijan since the end of the 2020 war, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The ministry stressed the “urgent need to increase international support to expand demining operations.”

On the same day, a landmine incident occurred in the previously occupied Fuzuli district, in the village of Ashagi Abdurrakhmanli.

An employee of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), Matili Mugan Rafayil oglu, born in 1995, was killed after triggering an anti-tank mine while performing his official duties.
