Heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast in Baku, hail and snow possible in regions

Rain is expected in parts of Baku and the Absheron peninsula on April 21, with heavy showers and thunderstorms possible in some areas, the National Hydrometeorological Service said.

The agency said precipitation would gradually stop by evening, while the northwesterly wind was expected to ease during the day.

Air temperature in Baku and on the Absheron peninsula is forecast at 10-12 degrees Celsius at night and 12-14 degrees during the day.

Other regions of Azerbaijan are also expected to see intermittent precipitation, with heavy rain, thunderstorms and hail possible in some places, and snow in mountainous areas.

Temperatures in the regions are forecast at 7-11 degrees Celsius at night and 13-18 degrees during the day, while mountainous areas will see minus 2 to plus 3 degrees at night and 5-10 degrees during the day.
