Media representatives visited Baku Olympic Stadium to review preparations for the 13th UN World Urban Forum, WUF13.

Organisers said the hall for the opening and closing ceremonies would be able to host up to 6,000 participants.

The forum’s total operational area covers 53 hectares, including 43 hectares for the main venue and 10 hectares for the transport terminal and parking-transfer zone.

The WUF13 site is being arranged in a “campus” format, with a media centre, halls for roundtables, special sessions and dialogue events, as well as facilities for live broadcasts, interviews and press conferences.

Pavilions from 41 countries will be presented at the forum, while Azerbaijan’s pavilion will cover 1,500 square metres.
