Baku Initiative Group to host youth conference during WUF13

The Baku Initiative Group will hold an international conference on May 20 on the role of youth in urban development during decolonization, as part of the 13th World Urban Forum in Baku.

The event will be the first international conference of the Global South Youth Platform, created by young people from different countries at the initiative of the Baku Initiative Group.

Representatives from 22 countries, including young researchers, international law specialists, healthcare professionals, youth leaders, students and representatives of pro-independence political parties and organizations, are expected to attend.

The conference will discuss ways to build stronger coordination among young people from the Global South against the continuing effects of colonialism and neocolonialism, and to turn international solidarity into practical platforms.
