17 foreign nationals detained for illegally crossing Azerbaijan’s border in May

Twenty people were detained by the State Border Service for violating the state border during May 2026, citing the Press Center of the State Border Service.

Among them were 7 citizens of Iran, 3 of Azerbaijan, 2 of Morocco, 2 of Nigeria, 2 of Algeria, and 1 citizen each of Afghanistan, Türkiye, India, and Pakistan.
