Temperatures in Baku to reach 36 C on July 23

Sunny weather is forecast for Baku and the Absheron peninsula on July 23, with a south-easterly wind expected.

The National Hydrometeorological Service said temperatures would range from 22 to 25 degrees Celsius overnight and from 31 to 36 C during the day.

Atmospheric pressure will fall to 754 millimetres of mercury from 757 millimetres, while relative humidity will be 70-75% overnight and 45-50% during the day.

Most regions of Azerbaijan are expected to remain dry, although brief rain, thunderstorms and hail are possible in some mountainous areas during the day. Fog is also forecast in the mountains, with a moderate easterly wind.

Temperatures in the regions will range from 22 to 26 C overnight and from 35 to 39 C during the day. Mountain areas will see temperatures of 13-18 C overnight and 24-29 C during the day.
