Strong northwesterly winds recorded in parts of Azerbaijan

Strong northwesterly winds were recorded in several parts of Azerbaijan on Sunday, the National Hydrometeorological Service said.

As of 1000 local time, wind speeds reached 28 metres per second in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 23 m/s in Mingachevir, 22 m/s in Naftalan, 20 m/s in Khachmaz and Ganja, 19 m/s in Goranboy and 16 m/s in Shabran.

Weather conditions remained mostly dry across the country, the service said.
