Traffic Police urge drivers and pedestrians to exercise caution amid adverse weather

Azerbaijan's Main State Traffic Police Department has issued a safety advisory to road users in light of unstable and adverse weather conditions.

Drivers have been urged to adjust their speed to road conditions, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, avoid abrupt maneuvers or sudden braking, and proper use of headlights during periods of reduced visibility and rainfall.

The authority also advised pedestrians to exercise heightened vigilance, noting that wet road surfaces significantly increase vehicle braking distances. Pedestrians are reminded to cross streets only at designated walkways, avoid stepping onto the roadway unexpectedly, and refrain from using distracting mobile devices while crossing.
