Azerbaijan forecasts dry weather, temperatures reaching up to 36°C on August 18

Predominantly dry conditions are expected across Azerbaijan on Tuesday, August 18, with regional daytime temperatures rising up to 36°C, the National Hydrometeorological Service announced.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather will remain mostly rainless with a moderate northwesterly wind. Overnight temperatures will range between 21°C and 24°C, while daytime highs will reach 28°C to 32°C. Atmospheric pressure will measure 756 mm Hg, with relative humidity levels at 70–80% at night and 45–50% during the day.

The country's regions will also see mainly dry conditions, though intermittent brief showers and localized thunderstorms are forecast in mountainous sectors during the afternoon. Fog is expected in some highland areas during nighttime and early morning hours, accompanied by an easterly wind. Lowland temperatures will be 20–25°C at night and 31–36°C during the day; mountainous regions will register 12–17°C overnight and 20–25°C in the afternoon.
