Azerbaijan central bank holds refinancing rate at 7.25%

Azerbaijan central bank holds refinancing rate at 7.25%
11.06.2025 13:30

Azerbaijan's central bank said on Wednesday it was keeping its key refinancing rate at 7.25%.

The interest rate corridor would remain unchanged, with the lower limit set at 6.25% and the upper limit at 8.25%, it added.

Annual inflation continues to remain within the forecast trajectory, coming in at 6.3% in April, the bank said.

"The current monetary policy is aimed at keeping inflation within target and stabilising inflation expectations," the bank said in a statement. A reduction in external uncertainties could set the stage for a rate hike at the next meeting, which will be held in July 2025.
