Azerbaijan has discussed new areas of cooperation with BP.

Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said he and SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf held talks with BP’s new chief executive Meg O’Neill on the company’s global operations, its long-term cooperation with Azerbaijan and regional energy projects.

The sides also discussed new directions for future cooperation between Azerbaijan and BP, Jabbarov said.

BP has been one of Azerbaijan’s main foreign partners in the oil and gas sector for more than 30 years and is involved in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli, Shah Deniz and Southern Gas Corridor projects.
