ABB Invest has seen individuals’ investments in foreign securities rise by nearly 10% compared with last year, company representative Nadir Babazade said.

He said one of the company’s goals in providing access to foreign-listed shares is to help customers develop investment habits.

“We encourage everyone to buy at least one share. It is important to feel the capital market. Investors can earn income through dividends and capital gains,” Babazade said.

He said ABB Invest’s mobile application gives clients access to both actively traded local shares and foreign-listed equities.

According to Babazade, individuals’ portfolio in foreign markets stands at about $80 million.

Corporate clients’ portfolio in foreign securities totals about $300 million.
