Pakistan discussed new opportunities for cooperation with Azerbaijan in mining, energy, trade and joint projects, Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Musadik Masood Malik said on the sidelines of WUF13 in Baku.

He said the sides discussed the possible involvement of Azerbaijani companies in developing copper deposits and exploring for gold in Pakistan, as well as the launch of the White Oil Pipeline project with SOCAR’s participation.

Malik also said Pakistan was interested in the green energy corridor through Turkey and in the reconstruction of Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.

The minister said Pakistan is actively developing renewable energy, with rooftop solar panels with a combined capacity of 200–300 MW installed on homes and administrative buildings every month.
