Iran resumes oil exports via Strait of Hormuz
17.06.2026 17:00

Iran has resumed oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz for the first time in two months, CNBC reported, citing data from analytics firm Kpler.

At least three Iranian tankers carrying nearly 5 million barrels of oil left the Strait of Hormuz area, according to the report.

Two supertankers, Diona and Hero 2, owned by the state-run National Iranian Tanker Company, transported about 3.8 million barrels.

The shipment marked the first such export movement in two months. Kpler said the vessels were able to pass through an area where U.S. Navy forces are present.
