Azerbaijan to spend nearly 2 bln manat on agriculture programme

Azerbaijan plans to allocate nearly 2 billion manat to finance a state programme for the development of agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture.

Finance Minister Sahil Babayev made the announcement in parliament.

The funds will be used to implement the 2026-2030 state programme, he said.

Babayev said agriculture remains one of the priority areas of the non-oil sector and receives significant annual state support through subsidies, incentives and other support mechanisms.
