Gold Holds Steady as Silver Climbs Ahead of Fed Remarks

Gold prices remained largely unchanged on Friday, August 28, while silver posted steady gains as investors positioned ahead of key central bank commentary.

Spot gold traded at $4,603.91 per troy ounce, while US gold futures dipped 0.1% to $4,657.10 per ounce. Meanwhile, silver advanced 1.3% to reach $70.13 per troy ounce.

Market participants remain focused on Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's upcoming address at the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium, seeking forward guidance on the trajectory of US monetary policy and interest rates.
