Azerbaijan’s economy grows 1.2% in Jan-Aug

Azerbaijan’s gross domestic product grew 1.2% year-on-year in January-August 2026 to 87.71 billion manats, the State Statistics Committee said.

Value added in the oil and gas sector fell 0.8%, while the non-oil and gas sector expanded by 2.1%.

Industry accounted for 34.6% of GDP, trade and vehicle repair for 10.8%, transport and storage for 7.6%, agriculture, forestry and fishing for 6.2%, and construction for 5.1%.

Net taxes on products and imports accounted for 10% of GDP.
