In 2019, 3.37 billion manats will be allocated to ensure the defense capability and national security of Azerbaijan, which is 4.6% more compared to last year, said Deputy Defense Minister, Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Colonel-General Najmeddin Sadikov in an interview to Milli Majlis magazine.

Najmeddin Sadikov noted that an increase in the defense budget allowed equipping the Azerbaijani Army with new types of weapons and equipment: 'Growth in this direction is expected this year as well.'
