Lavrov: Russia hopes current tensions in Baku-Tehran relations are temporary

Russia hopes that the current tensions in relations between Baku and Tehran are temporary and will be overcome as soon as possible, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
He also noted that the settlement of relations between Tehran and Baku will contribute to the promotion of trilateral cooperation.
"This will also contribute to the promotion of trilateral cooperation with the participation of Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan, including in the context of the interest confirmed by all parties in the implementation of important projects as part of the development of the international North-South transport corridor,” concluded the minister.
