 Ceasefire violations raise tensions in Nagorno Karabakh

Armenian armed forces violated the ceasefire with Azerbaijan 115 times in various directions along the contact line of troops in one day, using 60mm mortar launchers and large caliber machine guns to shell Azerbaijani positions, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on April 18.

Armenian armed units stationed in nameless uplands and village of Paravakar of Ijevan district fired on the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces located in Kohnegishlag village of Aghstafa district, nameless uplands of Gazakh district.
 
Azerbaijani positions located in Munjuglu village of Tovuz district underwent firing from Armenian positions located in the village of Aygedzor of Berd district.
 
Moreover, Azerbaijani positions located in nameless uplands of Gadabay district came under fire from the positions located in nameless uplands of Krasnoselsk district.
 
Meanwhile, Armenian army opened fire from positions near the villages of Yarimja, Chilaburt of the Tartar district, Shikhlar, Javahirli, Sarijali, Kangarli, Novruzlu, Nemirli, Yusifjanli, Merzili, Garagashli, Shuraabad of Aghdamdistrict, Kuropatkino village of the Khojavand district, Garakhanbeyli, Horadiz, Gorgan, Ashagi Seyidahmadli villages of Fuzuli district, Mehdili village of Jabrayil district, as well as on nameless uplands in the districts of Goranboy, Khojavand, Fuzuli and Jabrayil.
 
In line with the operational situation, Azerbaijani armed forces inflicted 116 strikes on Armenian positions.
