Azerbaijan wants to implement some important projects in Türkiye’s earthquake zone, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

"The global community did not leave us during the earthquake. They were with us from the first minutes and sent search and rescue teams. First, tents were delivered, then the delivery of containers began. Azerbaijan said it wants to build 1,000 houses. Yesterday we laid the foundation of the project. Azerbaijan also announced that it intends to implement some especially important projects in the earthquake zone," the Turkish president said.

He stressed that Turkish citizens living outside the country also assisted.

"They rushed to help us, mobilizing all their capabilities. We can never forget this and will not forget," Erdogan added.
