The Polish government endorsed a draft bill earmarking PLN 60.2 billion (EUR 14.1 billion) to the Polish nuclear power SPV Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe PEJ in the years 2025-2030, the Chancellery of the Prime Minister informed on its website following a cabinet sitting, reported from Pap Biznes.

"The government has decided to provide funds for the project to build Poland's first nuclear power plant. Between 2025 and 2030, Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe will receive PLN 60.2 billion to support this strategic energy investment. This is a key element from an investment point of view," they wrote.

The State Treasury is involved in the construction of the power plant as a direct investor and as a liability underwriter for other lenders.

"The assumed model envisages that the investment is to be financed with 30 percent from equity and 70 percent from external capital. External financing will be raised after the equity contribution has been made," it was emphasized.
