Azerbaijan-Russia trade grows to $2.6 billion
Trade between Russia and Azerbaijan rose to $2.6 billion in 2013, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Regional Development said in a statement, citing figures announced at the Fifth Azerbaijani-Russian Forum of Inter-regional Cooperation.
Trade turnover between the two countries has been growing annually. In 2013, it rose 10.5% year-on-year.
Over the past few years, Russia has invested more than $600 million in the Azerbaijani economy, and Azerbaijan has invested around $1 billion into the Russian economy over the last ten years.
According to Regional Development Minister Igor Slunyaev, the Sverdlovsk region has the biggest trade turnover with Azerbaijan.
