Iran demands compensation from five Arab states over alleged role in conflict — envoy
Iran has called for compensation from five Arab states over what it described as their involvement in U.S. and Israeli military actions, Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations Amir Saeid Iravani said.
According to Iravani, Iran has submitted a document to U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres outlining its claims.
He said Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Jordan should provide full compensation for material and moral damage allegedly caused by what Iran described as internationally wrongful acts.
Iravani said the countries had allowed their territory and infrastructure to be used for what he called unlawful armed attacks, including facilitating operations by U.S. and Israeli forces.
The five states have not immediately commented on the allegations.
