Turkish police detain student over threats to attack school
Police in the Turkish city of Zonguldak detained a high school student who threatened to carry out an हमला on a school, local media reported.
The 17-year-old allegedly sent threatening messages via WhatsApp, raising concerns among students and parents. Police acted swiftly after receiving the information and detained the suspect.
Officers searched his home and seized six blank pistol cartridges.
The student said he had brought the cartridges from a village as souvenirs and claimed the messages were sent as a joke.
Authorities also found he had previously been expelled from another school for setting off firecrackers in a classroom.
