Azerbaijan's defence minister inspects service conditions in liberated territories

Azerbaijan’s Defence Minister Zakir Hasanov inspected the service and living conditions of troops stationed in the liberated territories, the defence ministry said.

Senior defence officials met with servicemen, asked about their concerns and logistics support, and reviewed social and living conditions at a military unit.

Hasanov was informed that all necessary conditions meeting modern standards have been created at the unit to ensure high-level operational activity and improve soldiers’ professionalism.

He stressed the importance of properly fulfilling duties, noting that this contributes to improving the knowledge and skills of servicemen.

The minister also said that improving social and living conditions for military personnel remains a priority for President Ilham Aliyev, the supreme commander-in-chief, and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva.

The delegation also observed training exercises at the unit’s training ground and reviewed the condition and use of artillery systems.
