Putin to meet Iranian foreign minister Araghchi on Monday

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Monday, the Kremlin said, confirming plans for talks during the top diplomat’s visit to Russia.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin planned to receive Araghchi on April 27.

Russian and Iranian media said Araghchi’s visit comes as Tehran continues diplomatic contacts over the conflict in the Middle East and after recent consultations in Oman and Pakistan.
