Moscow Victory Day parade to go ahead without military hardware

Moscow Victory Day parade to go ahead without military hardware
29.04.2026 12:30

Russia’s May 9 Victory Day parade on Moscow’s Red Square will be held without military equipment because of the current operational situation, the Defence Ministry said.

The ministry said cadets from Suvorov and Nakhimov military schools and cadet corps would also not take part. Instead, the parade will feature marching units from higher military educational institutions and other branches of the armed forces.

A flypast is planned, including Su-25 attack aircraft, while the broadcast will also show service personnel involved in what Moscow calls its “special military operation” in Ukraine.
