Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan rejected Moscow’s criticism over Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s visit to Yerevan for the European Political Community summit.

“Why should the Ukrainian president not have come to Armenia? When Armenia was in conflict with Azerbaijan, did the Russian president not visit Azerbaijan? Did we ever ask that question? What is the problem here?” Pashinyan said.

He reiterated that Armenia would never be involved in anti-Russian actions.

Pashinyan also said unresolved issues did not necessarily mean a crisis in relations. As an example, he cited ties with the European Union, noting that Armenian airlines remain on the EU blacklist.
