Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said a meeting between Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan and Hikmet Hajiyev, foreign policy aide to Azerbaijan’s president, focused on issues related to the peace agenda between the two countries.

According to Pashinyan, the sides discussed matters linked to the normalization process and implementation of existing understandings, stressing the importance of maintaining direct dialogue between Yerevan and Baku.

Grigoryan and Hajiyev met in Armenia’s Dilijan earlier this month and agreed to maintain working-level contacts and hold their next meeting in Azerbaijan.
