Pezeshkian calls memorandum with U.S. historic
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called a memorandum of understanding signed with the United States historic, saying it was aimed at ending hostilities and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
“This is a historic document and a message from a strong Iran: peace becomes real through mutual respect,” Pezeshkian wrote, attaching the English-language text of the memorandum.
The United States and Iran signed the memorandum overnight on June 18. The document was signed by U.S. President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
