Iran says progress made in talks mediated by Qatar and Pakistan
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Monday that progress had been achieved on several issues during talks mediated by Qatar and Pakistan.
According to Araghchi, the sides made advances on matters related to Iranian oil and petrochemical exports, access to part of Iran’s frozen assets and mechanisms aimed at preventing further escalation in Lebanon.
He said the newly established Lebanon deconfliction mechanism would be the first test of the understandings reached during the negotiations.
Qatar and Pakistan have been mediating ongoing talks between Iran and the United States aimed at reaching broader agreements on regional security and economic issues.
