WHO identifies countries at risk of Ebola spread
The World Health Organization has identified a number of countries at risk of the spread of the Ebola virus, according to media reports.
The WHO said the risk remains particularly high for countries bordering affected areas and for regions with significant cross-border movement.
The organisation called for enhanced surveillance, stronger border health controls and improved preparedness of healthcare systems to detect and isolate potential cases.
The WHO also stressed the importance of public awareness campaigns on Ebola symptoms and preventive measures to reduce the risk of transmission.
