Ukraine says it struck gas processing plant in Orenburg
Ukraine said it had struck a gas processing plant in Russia’s Orenburg region as part of its campaign against Russian energy infrastructure.
Ukrainian media and monitoring channels reported that drones targeted the facility and that a fire broke out at the site.
Russian authorities have not provided details on possible damage, while the Russian Defence Ministry said it had intercepted Ukrainian drones without specifying the consequences of the attack.
The Orenburg gas processing plant is one of Russia’s largest such facilities and processes gas, including supplies from Kazakhstan. Previous attacks on the plant have disrupted its operations.
