Norway knock Brazil out of World Cup to reach first quarter-final

Norway beat Brazil 2-1 in the last 16 of the 2026 World Cup, reaching the quarter-finals of the tournament for the first time in their history. 

Erling Haaland was the hero of the match, scoring twice in the 80th and 90th minutes. Neymar converted a penalty in the 10th minute of stoppage time, but it was not enough to save Brazil from elimination. 

Norway will face England in the quarter-finals after England beat Mexico 3-2.
